Scripture: And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.

Sample Prayer: Give them an attitude of servitude and not one of license to mislead.

Communication

Scripture: How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

Sample Prayer: Don't allow our government to diminish our responsibility to propagate the gospel. Lead them to make laws that honor our trust in You, not regret ever having said it.

Scripture: But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him

Sample Prayer: Give them a heart of mercy for the poor & helpless.

Scripture: For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

Sample Prayer: Give those who rule us and know You as Lord a strong spirit of conviction that won't bend, bow or break under the pressure of sin. Keep them within the boudary of your word.

Scripture: In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Sample Prayer: Give our leaders, not just a mouth that confesses to know you, but a heart that thirsts for you.

Scripture: Some sat in darkness and the deepest gloom, prisoners suffering in iron chains, or they had rebelled against the words of God and despised the counsel of the Most High.

Sample Prayer: Shut the mouth of those who rebel against the Word of God. Turn their works back on their own heads till they confess and repent and seek to restore rigtheousness in our laws.

Scripture: I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,

Sample Prayer: Show them their true position and humble them

Scripture: A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.

Sample Prayer: May the laws passed be those You ordain and not those that satisfy political favor or personal gratification. May all unrighteous laws be rescended and not remain on the books forever as a testimony to our dullness of spirit.

Scripture: Has not the LORD made them one? In flesh and spirit they are his. And why one? Because he was seeking godly offspring. So guard yourself in your spirit, and do not break faith with the wife of your youth.

Scripture: Truth is nowhere to be found, and whoever shuns evil becomes a prey. The LORD looked and was displeased that there was no justice.

Sample Prayer: Give us laws that are just and not designed to repay favor. Keep those who are in need from being pawns in a political game that declares no winner but the rich and powerful at the end of the day.

Scripture: I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Sample Prayer: Guard them from impurity by making them remember the truth of Your word before they violate it. And when they don't lead them to a genuine spirit of repentance.

Scripture: For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Sample Prayer: You created us to do so much for the kingdom of God. Don't allow us to waste our time trying to improve on what You're perfecting. But don't allow us to grow content with the status quo either.

Scripture: The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

Sample Prayer: May they have a broken & contrite heart, not a haughty arrogance.

Scripture: Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.

Sample Prayer: Teach our leaders to recognize when the faoundations are worn and lead them to make right laaws or restore the ones that sinful leaders have damaged.

Intentions

Scripture: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;

Sample Prayer: Teach them to lean on Your word and not their best intention.

Scripture: It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age...

Sample Prayer: Your word is our only hope. Restore our government and its leaders to submissive positions to it and not twisted interpretors of you intent.

Scripture: He saw that there was no one, he was appalled that there was no one to intervene; so his own arm worked salvation for him, and his own righteousness sustained him.

Sample Prayer: Return civil servants to the place of service to Your righteousness. Even tho votes may be compromised, remind those who vote that Your word trumps theirs.

Scripture: So justice is driven back, and righteousness stands at a distance; truth has stumbled in the streets, honesty cannot enter.

Sample Prayer: Make our leaders standard-bearers of righteousness and give them a clear understanding of right & wrong. May truth be their goal and honesty their badge of honor.

Scripture: Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

Sample Prayer: Jesus taught us to pray, "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Bring down Your glory and wash our government(s) clean in the Truth, Jesus Christ - King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Don't allow the apostasy to take any more sacred ground while we, your children sleep through the watch and slumber during the day in ignorance and false security.

Scripture: Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness and the deepest gloom and broke away their chains.

Sample Prayer: Restore righteousness to our leaders and cause them to look to You and not to men's opinions to get endorsement for their agenda. Until they do, keep them in chains of bondage to guilt and remorse.

Scripture: All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

Sample Prayer: Our leaders were ordained by You and given authority by You to rule us. We respect them, but allow their ungodliness to diminsh our call to respect and obey Your word above theirs when they contradict.

Scripture: Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.

Sample Prayer: Give them sincere regard for truth and morality, not men. Don't allow Your leaders to become overly concerned about the pressure of their peers.

Scripture: He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor, his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor.

Sample Prayer: Show them how to balance power with responsibility.

Scripture: Men of Issachar, who understood the times and knew what Israel should do.

Sample Prayer: Give vision for the faith of our founding fathers and dispell any tendency to bow to cult pressure. Teach them what they should do if they don't know and make them do it when they know.

Scripture: Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.

Sample Prayer: Turn our leaders from anything and everything that is built on sin and promotes it. Remake their thinking to reflect that of Solomon when he asked for wisdom and integrity to lead the people.

Scripture: From the west, men will fear the name of the LORD , and from the rising of the sun, they will revere his glory. For he will come like a pent-up flood that the breath of the LORD drives along.

Sample Prayer: Overpower any nation that does not fear you and with regieme change bring regard for your Name and a respect for Your people.

Scripture: Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD , have never forsaken those who seek you.

Sample Prayer: Give them wisdom through a genuine fear of God.

Security

Scripture: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May those who love you be secure.

Sample Prayer: Send peace not only to Jerusalem but to the legislatures, halls of justice and offices of Presidents and Prime Ministers of all nations of the earth. May those who recognize You prosper and those who do not, be removed to be replaced by someone who will.

Scripture: So he subjected them to bitter labor; they stumbled, and there was no one to help.

Sample Prayer: Give our leaders in council a leader who is firm on conviction but tolerant of other opinions. Keep the meetings, both public and private, decent and in order, but above all keep them productive to accomplish something worth while.

Scripture: who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Sample Prayer: Make them attentive to the Gospel, convict those who are lost and gives strong conviction to those who claim to be your children.

Scripture: Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

Sample Prayer: Give them ears to godly counsel, tender hearts for the unborn. Make them an example of godliness and not someone who says one thing then does another when no one is looking.
