In 1962, a simple 22-word prayer from the "Engel v. Vitale" court case was the foundation by which the Supreme Court negated school prayer. What did that "dangerous" prayer state that so threatened our liberty?

• "Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers, and our Country."

David Barton, in his book entitled, "America, To Pray or Not To Pray?", claims that prior to 1962 the top public school problems were listed as: "Talking, chewing gum, making noise, running in the halls, getting out of turn in line, wearing improper clothing and not putting paper in wastebaskets."

In 1985, USA Today took a poll and reported that responders claimed the top offenses in school were: "Rape, robbery, assault, burglary, arson, bombings murder, suicide, absenteeism, vandalism extortion, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, gang warfare, pregnancies, abortions and venereal disease." Is this not proof of the truth of God's Word?

"You want something but don't get it. You kill and covet, but you cannot have what you want. You quarrel and fight. You do not have, because you do not ask God." James 4:2

"Mary had a little lamb, His fleece was white as snow.

And everywhere that Mary went, The Lamb was sure to go.

He followed her to school each day, T'wasn't even in the rule.

It made the children laugh and play, To have a Lamb at school.

And then the rules all changed one day, illegal it became;

To bring the Lamb of God to school, Or even speak His Name.

Every day got worse and worse, And days turned into years.

Instead of hearing children laugh, We heard gun shots and tears.

What must we do to stop the crime, That's in our schools today?

Let's let the Lamb come back to school

And teach our kids to pray!"
