Widows

 

If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, it any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Phil 2:1,2

No widow may be put on the list of widows unless she is over sixty, has been faithful to her husband, and is well known for her good deeds, such as bringing up children, showing hospitality, washing the feet of the saints, helping those in trouble and devoting herself to all kinds of good deeds. 1 Tim 5:9,10

 

Protect them from crafty schemers who try to take advantage of them. Col 2:8

Encourage them and remind them that they are loved. Col 2:2

Direct them to godly teachers. If it doesn't exist, provide it for them. Titus 2:3

Give them heart that purposes to replace idle time with ministry. 1 Thes 5:14, 2 Thes 3:11

Guard their tongue from slander. Titus 2:3

Remind them that they have the respect of the church. 1 Thes 5:13

Keep them from addiction. Titus 2:3

Don't let them associate old age with lack of worth. 1 Cor 12:18,19

Bless them with good health and strong mind.

Lead them to pray for others. 1 Thes 5:16

Continue to teach them by your Spirit. 1 Tim 2:11

Point out the need in their lives, directing your servant to them quickly. 1 Tim 5:3

Give them stronger spiritual than temporal desires. 1 Tim 5:6

Lead deacons to faithfully execute their pledge to watch and care for them. 1 Tim 5:9, 1 Tim 3:8-10
